Dress with silk, eyelash lace and boning detail. Model Molly Kennedy explores an Alice Liddell youth and fragility.

"Weak tea with cream in it."
A new difficulty came into Alice's head, "Supposing it couldn't find any?"
~ Lewis Carroll: Through The Looking Glass

Charcoal-grey evening dress, 100% procion-dyed silk with lace, underwiring and embroidered embellishment.

Mine and Hannah Llewelyn-Jones' (hannahllewelynjones.blogspot.com) mish-mash wall of inspiration, memories and quips.

Halfway through a Jean-Paul Gaultier "Classique" corset inspired construction. Another inspiration branching from the British 1940's Make Do & Mend cultural activity, this corset is made entirely from recycled shirts, pattern paper and crochet. Photoshoot to follow soon.

· polly's secret garden

Location: my back garden
Props: lace web, dried hydrangeas (petals used as eyelashes), copper wire
Storyline: escapism from the harshness of reality, model Georgie Rees seeks succour from the splendour of nature, in a world where imagination is Queen

"Ensnared in a web of
complexities laced with convultions,
intricacies and eruditions,
Polly's discoveries aided her suspicions
as to why the Great Mother
had her trapped."
"Like a kite I set off in flight:
away from fright and might;
bearing the Sun in my palms
I will have no qualms against
the Earth. I will merely have mirth."
